Socialite Coco Austin, who is married to rapper/actor Ice T, says she is happy to be a submissive “slave” to her man because he is the king of her castle.
Austin and Ice T were guests on Andy Cohen‘s Watch What Happens Live. Cohen asked her, “What is your opinion about submitting to your husband?”
I think all women should do it,” she replied. “I am a slave to him.”
“By her choice,” Ice-T added. “She likes that. She’s into that.”
Austin, 36, and Ice-T, 57, are expecting their first baby together — a girl. Ice-T already has 2 grown children from previous relationships. Coco and Ice-T have been married for 14 years.
Americans lead other nationalities in divorce statistics because American women refuse to be submissive to their men.
I don't think that submission is a sign of weakness, it is a sign of respect.
Teaching girl children to be submissive in a hierarchical society not only teaches them self-respect but it helps them to respect authority figures such as teachers, police and judges.
At the risk of sounding like I'm trying to throw down the gauntlet at feminists but I'm merely using the bible as my standard. Some forms of tradition shouldn't change in the wake of modern culture and trends, should it?
What's your take on Coco's statement and submission in marriage but not in the context of master/slave relationship....
The average woman now is too mordenised and polished to 'submit like slaves' to their man. This will be a tall order

DeleteFunny enough those dark ages apart from advancements in technology is better in every other aspect (life fulfillment, peace, nature, crime, etc)
DeleteIt's not master/servant she is talking about.. and if homes can run on the lady knowing her place and allowing her husband have that "kingly" feeling- in a loving mutually understanding way, there will be less divorces on the society.

DeleteIf you may notice real men do not actually need to be loved, they mostly need/desire to be respected especially by their family. Women desire to be loved. it works both ways and one propels the other.
Trouble starts coming in when each player starts desiring what was not naturally designed for them. Please someone show me a family where there is peace and harmony and the children are raised right by the man submitting to the woman and the.
Divorce in the 60's 70's and early 80's in Africa was an abomination and in America, Europe was still frowned at. But today it has become a life style there by rubbish the first institution God made.
People can we not see that women emancipation on its bad side is a direct attack on the institution of marriage, a direct attack like same sex marriage on the family system.
We really need to wake up and think for ourselves and stop this borrowing of thoughts, ideas, culture, tradition, clothes, money... (lol).

well said! as we make our bed so we lie on it..we keeping hiding feminism and sexism and get things all mixed up and upside down.let's stop playing God with this world and stick what's right and what works.like women submitting to their husbands and men not living off women and taking up their roles as the HEAD of the home.
