The kidnappers of a chieftain of Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere, Olu Falae, have asked for a ransom of  N100 million for his release.
The Abductors also gave the family of Falae, who is a national chairman of the Social Democratic Party, the deadline of Tuesday to make the payment.
Mr. Falae was taken in  his Ilado Farm along Igbatoro Road, Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State on Monday.
The spokesman of SDP in Ondo State, Remi Olayiwole, told Premium Times that the gunmen arrived  the farm at about 2pm on Monday shooting sporadically in the air.
“They met him in his farm at Ilado and were shooting before taking him away,” Mr. Olayiwole said.
He said the kidnappers later called Falae’s  wife and told her that a ransom of N100 million must be paid before his release on or before tomorrow, Tuesday.
“His wife received a phone call from the kidnappers later, and a voice was heard telling the family to bring N100 million before the end of tomorrow (Tuesday) before he will be released,” Mr. Olayiwole said.
