NUDITY VS RAPE:The Silence of the Lambs.

Half naked or scantily clad dressing isn't a shock these days.Either the way, improper dressing is no longer a stranger in our midst,we don't take much notice anymore.
Cossy Orjiakor is one woman that has constantly assaulted us with her peculiar stlye of dressing despite the  bashing she has received for her raunchy and lewd dressing and statements. She seems to be in competition with herself.

Does provocative dressing warrant a ticket to rape?

I read this statement made by the priest at St Luke Anglican Church, Akwakuma, Owerri, Rev. Ogechi Ofurum blames women for wearing tight clothes and tempting men...

Rev Ogechi Opurum said:

“The type of skimpy clothes ladies wear nowadays is appalling. Clothes that children of 10 and 11 years wear have now become the fashion of adults of 18 years and above. Those clothes are so tight on them that every part of their body shows, thereby provoking men to force themselves on them."

The easy way out is to blame the woman.
Is rape really about a man been tempted and loosing control of his and giving in to his animal  instincts or about power and a lust to dominate a woman?
Rape is inhuman and a senseless act of subjugation. In Nigeria rape is under-reported as a result isnt severly punished. The victims would rather keep silent and avoid stigmatization than make reports. The ''rape culture'' in Nigeria is severely flawed. Is the flaw inherent in our societal or individual psyche?Women are blamed for being''westernised'' in their independence and dressing or for being attractive and provocatively dressed.
