Actor Anthony Anderson’s wife files for divorce after 20 years of marriage

Black-ish star Anthony Anderson is coming to the end of his 20-year marriage to his high school sweetheart, Alvina. The ABC star’s wife filed for divorce, TMZ reports. 

Alvina filed the document citing irreconcilable differences. They share two children — son Nathan, 15 and daughter Kyra, 19. According to TMZ, Alvina is asking for joint legal custody and spousal support. 

The Emmy nominee has had recent success with his ABC comedy, but has been in the business for decades with roles in big blockbuster films like 2006’s The Departed and 2007’s Transformers.

The last time the pair were spotted together at an event was in February 2014. Alvina did not accompany her husband to the recent 2015 Emmy Awards, where he was nominated for Best Lead Actor in a Comedy. He lost to Transparent’s Jeffrey Tambor.
