‘I think they are going to assassinate the Pope.’ – Susan Sarandon on Pope Francis’ visit to the U.S.

Recently, there have been major criticisms for the many progressive changes Pope Francis has introduced to the Catholic Church, like his stance on women and abortion. On Tuesday, the Pope will be visiting the United States for the first time, and American actress Susan Sarandon has expressed fear for the Pope’s safety: she thinks he will be assassinated when he visits New York.
“I think they’re going to assassinate him,” the 68-year-old actress said of the Pope’s visit to the U.S. “I think he’s done some major, major cleansing of the whole system.”
But she didn’t go further to explain how this may happen, only that she worries for his safety in the U.S.
“I love this Pope,” Sarandon added. “He’s humble. He doesn’t live in the palatial whatever. I think he’s a Pope of the people.”
So, what does she know that we don’t know – what’s she holding back?
Hours ago, the Pope visited Cuba and met Commander Fidel Castro and there wasn’t any fear for his safety, until, well, this ‘controversial’ visit to the U.S.
We guess we have to wait it out – and hope and pray that nothing happens?

  1. Nothing will happen to Our Holy Father...people are scared of change, and an outsider in charge of the establishment.
